Domaine Dujardin Monthelie 1er cru « Les Champs Fulliot » 2022 (60/120b)

An elegant Pinot Noir from the esteemed Monthélie Premier Cru “Les Champs Fulliots.” Grown on limestone clay soils and crafted under organic principles, it undergoes 18 months of ageing (12 in oak, 6 in tank) without filtration. Deep red and dense in colour, the palate reveals refined red fruit and spice, firm tannins, and graceful length.

Ned Notes: The wine equipped with the greatest energy and whiplash torque of tannins, still refined, but pliant, gently firm and coating the mouth with wild strawberry, anise and mountain herb. This is the wine to bury for a while, say 5-8 years. Otherwise, I’d be giving this an aggressive decant and a big breath 96-97
